Executive Conference

We look forward to connecting with our members every year at the Executive Conference. We have spent the past couple months in negotiations with the conference hotel, speakers and virtual meeting vendors to assess the feasibility of continuing with an in-person meeting, a virtual option or a hybrid of the two. Given the growing concerns around the pandemic, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the event.

This was a tough call to make. The Executive Conference is clearly a very important event for the association. The ECIA Board of Directors carefully considered the health and safety of everyone in our industry, as well as the financial risks to ECIA’s balance sheet.  Following increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented global situation. We are very disappointed that we are unable to hold the event. But we know it is the right decision based on the information we have today.

Right now, the most important thing all of us can do is focus our attention on helping find solutions for the new challenges we all face in our businesses and communities. Please know that we remain committed to sharing pertinent information with you through our webinars and podcasts. In lieu of the full Executive Conference agenda, we are investigating the possibility of offering one or more of the planned keynote speakers in a free online session.  Also we are working with the Board of Directors to offer a virtual town hall meeting since this was a popular session in the program last year.  Please stay tuned for more details on these events.

ECIA is committed to continuing the important work being done on initiatives that improve efficiencies in the electronic components supply chain. We will provide options to engage our members and look forward to the day we can be together again safely. We thank the Board for their guidance and our members for their understanding.
