What is your involvement with ECIA and what have you gained from your engagement with the association?
I became involved with the GIPC at the beginning of ROHS almost 20 years ago when it was the NEDA Roundtable. Being part of the GIPC gave me an opportunity to improve processes and educate the entire industry. And I learned a bunch along the way. I also gained relationships with mentors and now friends that are part of the GIPC community.
What does your company do and what is your role in your company?
Mouser Electronics is the authorized semiconductor and electronic component distributor focused on New Product Introductions from its leading manufacturer partners. I am SVP Business Operations at Mouser Electronics and am responsible for Warehouse/Logistics, Trade Compliance and Global HR.
What is your favorite thing about this industry?
Can’t say just one thing:
The impact we have to make lives better with technology amazes me.
The industry grows faster than the economy overall, which provides opportunities.
The people you get to know are great.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
My wife and I love to travel. I enjoy golf. We recently moved and I have been learning/playing pickle ball with our new neighbors.
Are you currently binging any shows on Netflix, Hulu etc.?
I can only binge one at a time. Currently, we are watching Suits. I never watched it before.
