ECIA Welcomes New Manufacturer Council Members

Three Senior Executives Join the Council to Address Common Industry Challenges 

ECIA is pleased to announce the following new members of the Manufacturer Council:

• David LaTourette, VP of Sales, Taiwan Semiconductor
• Martin Branam, VP Sales, ST Microelectronics
• Tony Tomasso, Director of Sales, Panasonic 

“We are delighted to welcome David, Martin, and Tony to the Manufacturer's Council,” commented Council Chair Tom Wichert, Exec. VP Sales & Marketing, TDK-Lambda Americas Inc. “One of our key objectives is to ensure the council reasonably represents our diverse industry, encompassing both large and small companies, as well as strategic component categories such as Electro-Mechanical, Interconnect, Passive, and Semiconductor. The addition of these three new members will enhance and balance the Manufacturer's Council, aligning with our initiatives. We eagerly anticipate their support and contributions in 2025!”

ECIA’s GIPC Publishes Guidance Document on Cybersecurity

 

Advisory Report Outlines Four Key Areas of Awareness for International Companies

ECIA members, electronic component manufacturers and distributors who have international operations face a broad spectrum of cyber risks that could potentially impact their business operations. These risks can be more complex and challenging due to their international scope. The ECIA’s GIPC has posted an advisory report prepared as the result of a cooperative effort between electronic component manufacturers and their authorized distributors.

The four key areas covered by the document are Cyber Threats, International Governance, An International Response Plan and Scheduled Tests, and Allocating Resources to Protect International Operations. This document offers concrete recommendations to enable managers to prepare their organizations.

ECIA offers its members insight into the industry and a variety of market trends information. Members can log into the website and visit the Stats & Insights page to access an increasing number of statistical reports. Some are available to the public, some to members and others are only accessible to those who participate in the survey.
