Atlanta — ECIA welcomes Adam Grigor, Tech-Trek Ltd as the new chairman of the Independent Manufacturers Rep council. Adam will take the seat held by Alan Ahern since 2018.

“It has been a privilege to have served as the Independent Manufacturers Rep Council Chair and a Board member since 2018,” commented Alan Ahern, Crowley Associates. “During my time, I was honored to be part of this dynamic Council and the Board. We faced many challenges in the selling process through the shifts in the electronic component industry during the past five years. The ECIA is more vital now than ever, thanks to its foresight and leadership through the difficult times. I am delighted that Adam Grigor has taken the lead of the Council. I look forward to working with Adam as the Council Chair and the other Council members, producing valuable tools to help members improve business performance.”

“The Council completed a number of important projects under Alan Ahern’s leadership,” added ECIA CEO and President David Loftus. “They published a series of best practices documents, worked on the research study on the Value of Distribution with Texas A&M University, participated in the automated data exchange initiative and much more. The industry faced many challenges during the pandemic, and we were very fortunate to have Alan on the Board through those challenging times. We are very grateful for Alan’s service to the industry. We welcome Adam as the Council Chair, and we are looking forward to his leadership within ECIA.”
