ECIA Announces Distinguished Service Award Recipients
These five members made extraordinary contributions to the Association this year.

Atlanta — ECIA’s Distinguished Service Award recognizes exceptional individuals who served the industry through ECIA’s committees/councils, board, EDS and conference work.

“The following five individuals received unanimous approval from ECIA's Board of Directors for the ECIA Distinguished Service Award in 2023,” ECIA’s CEO and President David Loftus revealed at the awards ceremony in Chicago last week. “The Association could not function without leadership and participation from members, and these recipients went above and beyond expectations.”

  • Greg Pace, Ohmite Manufacturing. Greg recently completed the maximum of six years on the EDS Board of Directors, serving as Board President for EDS's FY2022.  Greg and Robert were instrumental in leading the EDS Show Corporation through the incredibly challenging years of the pandemic.  Greg also serves on the Exec Conference Sponsorship Subcommittee, a big reason that we recorded record sponsorships this year!
  • Robert Logan, Kruvand Associates. Robert recently completed the maximum of six years on the EDS Board of Directors, serving as Board President for EDS's FY2021. Robert has also served, and continues to serve, on the ECIA Rep Council since 2018.
  • Darin Glenn, Vishay.  Darin has served on a broad variety of ECIA Technical Standards Development Committees:S1- Steering Committee for passive electronic components, Automated Component Handling Committee (Tape and Reeled Product), P1 - Resistive Devices Committee, Soldering Technology Committee
  • Russ Dzielak, Phoenix Contact. Russ serves as the co-chair of the GIPC and led the Workplace Disruption work group from 2020 to 2022 when they published three documents starting with challenges in the workplace during the pandemic in 2020 to the impact of corporate culture in 2022.
  • Robert Derringer, Crouzet. Robert has invested a couple of years on our ECIA Exec Conference Committee, served as our 2022 Conference Committee Chair, and currently serves on our Conference Vetting Sub Committee as Co-Chair and member of our ECIA Manufacturer Council.
