ECIA Welcomes Eileen Harduk to Global Industry Practices Committee (GIPC)
The Committee will benefit from Eileen’s expertise in process improvement

ATLANTA – ECIA is pleased to announce that Eileen Harduk, Avnet’s Director of Procurement Operations for the company’s Operations & Supply Chain department, has joined the GIPC.

Eileen joined Avnet in 1995, spending the first 10 years of her career in sales and supply chain business development. Shifting gears to the operations side of the business, she discovered her true calling in continuous improvement and has spent the last 16 years driving results through standardization and consistency of processes, automating manual activities, and ensuring measurements and accountability to achieve success.

“Eileen’s 16 years’ experience managing supplier and material logistics will be a great addition on the GIPC,” commented ECIA’s VP of Industry Practices Don Elario. “Her background in a broad spectrum of back-office operations fits well with the GIPC’s mandate to impact efficiencies in the component channel. We are thrilled Eileen has decided to join our committee.”

The Global Industry Practices Committee (GIPC) provides a forum to discuss processes in the authorized channel that drive best practices within our industry. The GIPC members on this committee work to identify common global problems and issues, formally organize with Subject Matter Experts to research the issues, provide guidance and areas for consideration, and then help drive adoption with the ECIA Board of Directors and Councils. This activity results in the construction of guidelines, specifications, position papers and best practice documents for the electronic components authorized channel. The Committee is made up of executives from three Distributors, three Manufacturers, one Manufacturer’s Representative and two ECIA representatives.
