ATLANTA – ECIA is pleased to announce that Andy Zanelli, President and CEO of Visual Communications Company, LLC has joined the GIPC.

Andy Zanelli has spent nearly twenty years in the electronic component industry as President and CEO of Visual Communications Company, LLC (VCC). For most of that time he has been responsible for creating and executing VCC's vision and growth strategies. “I look forward to working with Don Elario and the rest of the GIPC to address industry challenges,” Zanelli commented. “I want to represent the interests of small and medium sized businesses and offer creative solutions from that perspective.”

“I’m thrilled that Andy has agreed to join the GIPC,” added ECIA VP of Industry Practices Don Elario. “Andy’s energy, commitment and creativity will be a huge addition to our efforts in these turbulent times. Andy is always willing to roll up his sleeves and find solutions, and we will benefit from his SME perspective.”

The Global Industry Practices Committee (GIPC) provides a forum to discuss processes in the authorized channel that drive best practices within our industry. The GIPC members on this committee work to identify common global problems and issues, formally organize with Subject Matter Experts to research the issues, provide guidance and areas for consideration, and then help drive adoption with the ECIA Board of Directors and Councils. This activity results in the construction of guidelines, specifications, position papers and best practice documents for the electronic components authorized channel. The Committee is made up of executives from three Distributors, three Manufacturers, one Manufacturer’s Representative and two ECIA representatives.
