ECIA and Flip Electronics Hosts Trust Bridge Cyber Security Workshops
Half-day in-person workshops in April help executives navigate new data regulations

ATLANTA – ECIA is pleased to present a series of in-person workshops April 22nd & 28th, on Cyber Data Breaches: How to manage them and mitigate risk. TrustBridge, a renowned Cyber and Data privacy company, has teamed up with Womble Bond Dickinson to offer practical workshops that allow CEOs/CTOs and other senior managers to evaluate their cyber risk and approach. These workshops provide practical steps toward data protection, regulation alignment at a time when various US states are introducing new data protection and privacy regulations.

The sessions include the following topics:

  • Breach policy: planning and development
  • Risk and high-risk assessment: ransomware
  • Incident response
  • Notification of breach
  • Best practice
  • Business continuity
  • Cyber insurance

The workshops will take place on site at Flip Electronics’ offices in Alpharetta, Georgia on April 22nd and at ECIA offices in Fairfax, Virginia on April 28th. “The electronic components industry in the U.S. is facing a substantial wave of state regulations that pertain to data privacy,” explained Don Elario, ECIA’s VP of Industry Practices. “In addition, with the increased interest in digitalization and cross-enterprise supply chains hosted in the Cloud, ransomware and other cyber attacks have created elevated liabilities. This workshop series will give senior managers the tools they need to ensure compliance and mitigate risk of attack.”

“Flip Electronics is delighted to host this crucial workshop,” continued Bill Bradford, President of Flip Electronics. “We are committed to a data-driven approach in solving component obsolescence challenges. It’s very critical that we stay on top of regulations and cyber security issues to ensure our customers and suppliers are in compliance and safe from attack.”
