What is your involvement with ECIA and what have you gained from your engagement with the association?
A proud member of the ECIA Executive Conference Sponsorship Sub-Committee. My fellow Sponsorship buddies are great.. And to be back in contact with many Rep organizations is very enjoyable.
What does your company do and what is your role in your company?
Flip Electronics provides comprehensive Supply Chain solutions for Obsolete and EOL products through Authorized Distribution. I have Business Development responsibility for some of our strategic OCM partners plus our Extended Manufacturing business, Flip Electronics Manufacturing Services (FMS).
What is your favorite thing about this industry?
Without question the people we get to meet. It's amazing how many contacts you build over 25+ years. Even more incredible is that you can have a 20-year gap between communication and still feel like you spoke to them yesterday... magical!
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Playing soccer or golf, coaching soccer or watching sport with my wife and 2 teenage sons. I thought the World Cup was a great success even though the 'not quite mighty' England only finished third!
What is the best piece of career advice you've ever received?
Treat everyone with respect.
