The 2026 Omnibus amendments significantly narrowed the scope, generally limiting direct requirements to EU companies with more than 5,000 employees and €1.5 billion in turnover and non-EU companies generating more than €1.5 billion in EU revenue. Member states have until July 26, 2028, to incorporate the directive into national law, with company compliance beginning July 26, 2029.
