NAM Legal Center Update on IEEPA Refunds
There was another development in the IEEPA refund process last week. The Court of International Trade issued an order requiring CBP to reliquidate “certain finally liquidated entries” (i.e. entries that have passed the final stage of duty assessment) for the approximately 3,700 IEEPA refund cases pending in the CIT.
Importers that did not file protective lawsuits still face uncertainty regarding refunds, while CBP reports it has already accepted approximately $122 billion in refund claims for processing.
