What is your involvement with ECIA and what have you gained from your engagement with the association?
I am a member of the Global Industry Practices Committee. I have learned that distributors, reps and manufacturers share many common operational and regulatory challenges. Recommendations and guidance from ECIA provides valuable input that helps us adapt to constant change.
What does your company do and what is your role in your company?
We are Avnet ……broadline electronics components distributor with an established global presence. We provide engineering design support, supply chain management, logistics, and embedded solutions to guide products from idea to production. I lead our supplier operations team in Guadalajara Mexico, supporting our asset/procurement teams so they are free to focus on their core competencies of purchasing the right products at favorable prices.
What is your favorite thing about this industry?
Seeing the cool products our customers design and manufacture!
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Freediving, spearfishing, reading, gardening, guitar and exploring Mexico with my wife Michelle. Also spending time with our dogs… Chewbaca, Bear and Coco.
