February 2026 Highlight - Teri Ivaniszyn, DigiKey
What is your involvement with ECIA and what have you gained from your engagement with the association?
I have had the opportunity to serve as the Chair of the Global Industry Practices Committee (GIPC) and have been involved with the committee for about ten years. My engagement with ECIA has given me invaluable insight into the industry and the opportunity to collaborate with key leaders across many companies.
Beyond the professional benefits, the experience has allowed me to build meaningful friendships and broaden my network. Working with ECIA has helped drive greater alignment and consistency in how we approach industry-wide challenges, ultimately helping move the industry forward together.
What does your company do, and what is your role within the company?
DigiKey is a global distributor supporting engineers, designers, and innovators with a vast selection of electronic components. I serve as the Vice President of Trade Compliance, covering areas such as tariffs, and Operational Excellence, which includes responsibility for our continuous improvement and quality teams.
What is your favorite thing about the industry?
What I love most about this industry is that it feels both incredibly large and surprisingly small at the same time. The impact we have on everyday life and on future technologies is remarkable and energizing. Despite being competitive, the people in this industry genuinely work together to create success for everyone.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love traveling, getting outdoors, and going on walks to soak in nature, often with my dog by my side. I’m also a big sports fan, especially when it comes to basketball. One of my favorite times of the year is March Madness.
Are you currently binging any shows?
I just finished The Last Frontier on Apple TV. I also recently wrapped up His & Hers on Netflix and All Her Fault on Hulu. I enjoy exploring all the major streaming services, there’s always something new to dive into.
