January 2026 Highlight - Patrick Moore, Silanna Semiconductor

What is your involvement with ECIA and what have you gained from your engagement with the association? I am a member and have enjoyed the interaction with other members and the information provided for many years. I had the opportunity to be part of the Foundation Board over past couple years and appreciate and enjoy that opportunity as well. It’s easy to get lost in the organization you are part of ‘today' (big or small) and through my involvement with ECIA I’ve gained insights into other companies and the things that are important to them (and the people in them), insights into our larger industry (trends and analysis), and I think I’ve gained additional perspective through those experiences and insights.
What does your company do and what is your role in your company? We are an analog semiconductor company here in San Diego delivering Data Converters and Specialty Analog Products to the market. I am the VP of Sales and Applications.
What is your favorite thing about this industry? I think it’s being part of 'what’s next' in technology. Whether that’s seeing what our customers are developing next and helping them solve problems or being part of what we are developing next and helping define future solutions to help our customers. That said, I’ve also met some pretty amazing people in this industry - customers, partners. co-workers and competitors - and I’m lucky to call many of them friends. So, maybe that’s two favorite things.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? I love spending time with my kids, playing music with friends when I can (reliving my youth), road trips, and hard physical challenges.
Are you currently binging any shows on Netflix, Hulu etc.? The last show I binged was Invasion a season or two back. A lot of trash talk from my friends and my son for liking it (for the record - it was definitely better than 60% Rotten Tomatoes), so if I end up watching another season it will likely be without telling anyone - a future guilty pleasure, I guess.
