ECIA's Global Industry Practices Committee (GIPC) Publishes Guidance on Tariffs Atlanta - ECIA’s GIPC subcommittee on Tariffs has issued an information-packed document to help managers understand and educate their customers and employees. This Powerpoint is intended to be a valuable resource as component supply chain partners manage through the changing global trade environment. “The GIPC Tariffs subcommittee has worked very diligently to compile the background, legislative framework, history and current status of the tariffs that have a direct impact on the component supply chain,” explained Christine Wolnik, ECIA Vice President of Industry Practices. “We hope members find it useful to download and distribute the document to their teams and customers to help understand which tariffs impact our industry and what companies must do to comply.
“Many thanks to the committee members who worked on this: Rene Aelvoet – TTI; Nick Smith – Mouser; Mike Braun – Infinite Electronics; Andy Zbacnik – DigiKey; Joshua Cowan & Vladimir Prevot – World Micro; Patrick Untch & Michael Spina – WPG; and Paul Spain – PUI Audio,” she concluded.
