September 2025 Highlight Part Two - Joe Steece, Mouser Electronics
What is your involvement with ECIA and what have you gained from your engagement with the association?
I participate on the GIPC committee via calls and meetings to help drive best practices within the industry. The engagement with peers in the industry has been extremely valuable. Our calls and meetings enable brainstorming discussions that further best practice solutions
What does your company do and what is your role in your company?
Mouser Electronics is a global factory authorized distributor of semiconductors and electronic components. We specialize in the rapid introduction of the newest products and technologies from our authorized manufacturers, supporting the newest designs as-well-as the manufacturing supply chain. I am in the VP of Inventory Management and our team is responsible for getting product on-order, shipped and delivered to Mouser. Our responsibility starts with getting product on order and stops once product is received in the warehouse.
What is your favorite thing about this industry?
I truly enjoy the impact that electronic components have on the global economy by driving innovation. Electronic components are all around us and watching that evolve over the years has been exciting. The next new thing is just around the corner!
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Family - We have teenage quadruplets (3 boys and a girl) so my wife and I have a calendar chalk full. Outside of that, I love golfing whenever time allows!
Are you currently binging any shows on Netflix, Hulu etc.?
Nothing at the moment. I tend to stick with live sports and with football back in season, it’s the best time of year to binge games on the weekend.
