CONTACT: Jennifer Read FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Industry Pulse Survey Results for August Sales Sentiment Decline from July but Remain Solid; ECIA’s Industry Pulse: Electronic Component Trends and Sentiment August and Q3 2025 Results. Atlanta - The August Industry Pulse survey results fell far short of expectations from the July survey, as the overall index declined from 121.6 to 113.2 between July and August. The outlook for August, as reported in the July survey, was 127.5. “While it is not unusual for actual results to fall short of expectations, this was a relatively significant miss,” noted ECIA Chief Analyst Dale Ford. “Despite the disappointing July results, optimism still prevails as survey participants predict a strong jump in September, with an overall average score of 130.2.” The most encouraging results come from the Q3 2025 Industry Pulse survey, as it shows solid optimism from Q3 through to Q4 2025. Sixty percent of survey respondents report overall expectations of positive sales sentiment for Q3, with that figure sustaining at 59% for Q4. Only 6% and 7% of respondents saw declining sales sentiment in Q3 and Q4, respectively. The continued sales sentiment momentum revealed by both the August and Q3 surveys is very encouraging For the complete summary report, click here.
