ECIA Announces Session on Global Trade Law and Compliance 

David G. Forgue explains the implications for companies operating across borders.

ECIA’s Executive Conference Committee is pleased to announce a new session on Global Trade Law and Compliance, headed by David G. Forgue, Partner at Barnes/Richardson Global Trade Law.

Attendees can explore the shifting landscape of global trade and compliance with this session. David G. Forgue will highlight emerging challenges, evolving regulations, and practical considerations for organizations operating across borders with insights to help navigate today’s complex global environment.

David is a customs and international trade attorney at Barnes, Richardson & Colburn in Chicago. He has practiced Customs and international trade law for almost 30 years and represents companies across the globe.

Late last year the ECIA released the results of the study entitled, ‘The Value Delivered by Authorized Channel Partners for Electronic Components,’ to identify, analyze, and document the value of authorized channel partners in the electronics components supply chain. The study was conclusive: working with the authorized channel yields key benefits in important strategic and competitive areas.

This report investigates the process of employing manufacturer reps to bolster geographic presence, focusing on their profound relationships with local clientele, which makes them indispensable in channel partnerships.
