EIA Standards Mourns the Loss of Carl Fritz

Carl Emil Fritz, Secretary of the ECIA CE-2 National Committee on Connectors and Sockets and Assistant Secretary of IEC SC 48B Electrical connectors passed away on May 14, 2025. During his career, Carl worked at AMP/Tyco and was active in the ECIA Standards program there beginning in 1992 and upon retirement in 1998, continued consulting and handling the day-to-day operations of the CE-2 Committee up until the fall of 2024.

ECIA salutes his decades of service to the industry and his dedication to the international standards process and he will be greatly missed.
