May 2025 Highlight - Ashley Quinlan, Molex

What is your involvement with ECIA and what have you gained from your engagement with the association? I’ve been a member of ECIA for many years and currently have the privilege of serving on the Global Industry Practices Committee (GIPC). Over the years, my involvement with ECIA has provided me with a valuable platform to engage with a broad range of professionals across the electronic components industry. Serving on the GIPC has allowed me to contribute meaningfully to conversations around best practices and operational processes that help shape and support the integrity and efficiency of our industry.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my engagement has been the relationships I've built with peers and executives from leading organizations. Through collaborative discussions—whether on the evolving digital customer experience, tariff implications, or broader supply chain challenges—I’ve gained both strategic insights and practical perspectives that continue to benefit my work and professional growth.
ECIA has significantly expanded both my network and my knowledge base. I’m grateful for the opportunity to be part of an association that fosters such open dialogue, drives industry alignment, and promotes continuous improvement across our sector.
What does your company do and what is your role in your company? Molex is a leading provider of interconnect solutions with more than 80 years of experience delivering connectivity at scale. Our commitment to the highest-quality products, unmatched engineering expertise and truly collaborative customer relationships spans industries, from automotive to telecommunications, mobile devices, data center, industrial, medtech and more. In my role leading Digital Marketing at Molex, I’m responsible for shaping and executing strategies that drive digital customer engagement and business growth. To support this, we've launched a company-wide digital transformation effort, aimed at aligning our go-to-market strategy with the future of customer engagement and the digital ecosystems that underpin scalable growth and innovation.
What is your favorite thing about this industry? One of my favorite things about the electronics industry is just how deeply it touches every part of our lives. From the things we enjoy—like entertainment and smart home technology—to the essentials we rely on every day, such as medical devices, transportation systems, and communication tools, electronics are truly everywhere. It’s incredible to be part of an industry that drives so much innovation and progress, and to know that the work we do has a real, tangible impact on how people live, connect, and thrive. Whether it’s enabling life-saving healthcare technology or helping to shape the future of mobility and connectivity, the breadth and relevance of this space continues to inspire me.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? I used to have hobbies... and now I have kids who play club sports! These days, most of my free time is spent cheering from the sidelines—whether it's in a volleyball gym or at the baseball field. I wouldn’t trade it for anything though; it’s been so fun watching them find their passions (even if it means my weekends now come with bleachers and snack bars).
That said, my husband and I do make time for ourselves once the games wrap up. We’re big foodies, and luckily, our hometown of Louisville, KY has no shortage of amazing restaurants and cocktail spots. A good meal and a great old-fashioned is our kind of post-tournament recovery! I also enjoy betting the ponies—because when you live in Derby City, it’s practically a civic duty. I love hosting first-timers who think Louisville is just about horses and bourbon, and then watching them fall in love with everything the city has to offer
Are you currently binging any shows on Netflix, Hulu etc.? We just finished White Lotus, and are currently watching Landman. It’s just ok. I really enjoyed Yellowstone, Shrinking, Ted Lasso, and Schitt’s Creek. Those have been some of my faves.
