What is your involvement with ECIA and what have you gained from your engagement with the association? Being part of the ECIA’s Industry Recruiting Committee has been a fun and insightful experience. I’m genuinely excited about our initiative to attract new talent to the electronics industry. It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to share my passion for this field, and I love that we can come together as an industry to create a collaborative video that truly resonates with everyone involved.
Working alongside such a dedicated team is inspiring, and it shows how much we care about promoting the diverse career paths available in our sector. This experience has been rewarding in so many ways, and I can’t wait to see the impact we’ll make together!
What does your company do and what is your role in your company? Micro Commercial Components (MCC) is a prominent integrated device manufacturer (IDM) specializing in discrete semiconductors on a global scale. We provide reliable supply chain assurance and exceptional support, featuring a diverse portfolio of over 10,000 advanced components. Our mission is to empower customers to drive innovation across various sectors, including automotive, industrial, and more. As the Digital Marketing Director at MCC, I concentrate on fostering the company’s growth and enhancing brand visibility. I develop and implement effective digital strategies aimed at strengthening our online presence and engaging our target audiences. My role encompasses overseeing content creation, search engine optimization (SEO), and social media management to generate leads and promote our brand successfully. Furthermore, I analyze performance metrics to optimize our campaigns and ensure they align with our overall business objectives.
What is your favorite thing about this industry? What I love most about the electronics manufacturing industry is the people. They really are the heart of it all, each contributing their unique perspectives and skills. This mix creates a space where creative problem-solving flourishes. Just think about your own electronic devices at home and how they’ve evolved over the last 20 years—it's pretty amazing! The industry is always changing, driven by innovation and collaboration, which keeps things exciting. I feel lucky to be part of this journey, where we not only push technology forward but also embrace adaptability and continuous learning. It truly is a fantastic industry!
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work? Outside of work, I love hanging out with my family and friends and exploring new places. Walking my dogs is part of my daily routine, and it really helps me relax and enjoy the moment. I'm also really passionate about hosting the "Leadership in Manufacturing" podcast, where I talk to industry leaders and share insights that can make a difference in the manufacturing and distribution industry.
I'm a big fan of Formula 1 racing too. I enjoy looking at the strategies that teams use during races and how they adjust to the changing situations on the track. There’s never a dull moment in our house while watching F1, as we all get caught up in the excitement and drama of each race. It’s a great way to bond with my family and friends as we cheer for our favorite teams and drivers!
Are you currently binging any shows on Netflix, Hulu, etc.? I'm currently watching "Jet Lag: The Game" on YouTube, "Severance" on Apple, and of course, Formula 1.
