March 2025 Highlight - Heather Fulara, DigiKey
What is your involvement with ECIA and what have you gained from your engagement with the association?
I have been a member of the ECIA Executive Conference Committee the last few years. It’s been a great opportunity for me to give back to the industry I’m grateful to be a part of, learn more about trends in our industry and network with a great team. I am passionate about developing talent and have encouraged up-and-coming folks in the SPARK program to be a student of our industry by utilizing PACE and keeping up with the ECIA stats and newsletters-a great way to keep up with what our industry cares about.
What does your company do and what is your role in your company?
DigiKey is a leading global eCommerce distributor offering the largest selection of technical components and automation products in stock for immediate shipment. I lead our Interconnect, Electromechanical and Industrial Automation business units which are responsible for our supplier relationships, product management and supplier inventory strategy.
What is your favorite thing about this industry?
My favorite part of this industry is the people. I have been lucky to build relationships with great leaders across the globe that share my interests in finding solutions, learning about our customers and supporting others in growing their careers. Being able to connect with others in this industry, learn new viewpoints and continue to evolve our company propositions has been an incredibly rewarding experience!
What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
Spending time with my family, traveling, watching sports (especially Chicago teams!) and playing pickleball and golf (humbly).
Are you currently binging any shows on Netflix, Hulu etc.?
White Lotus, Squid Games, Severance, Toxic Town. Recommendations welcome!
