James Welch is currently Instructor of Management at the University of Tampa teaching Introduction to Global Business and Strategic Management. His academic research has been published in the areas of business law, business ethics, as well as business strategy and leadership.
James also has over 27 years experience in the US Army Reserve with current rank of Colonel and assigned as reserve officer with the Chief of Chaplains Office, Pentagon. His prior assignments have included: the 350th Civil Affairs Command, Ethics Subject Matter Expert at the United States Army Training and Doctrine Command, Small Group Instructor at the United States Army Chaplain Center and School, Leadership Development and Assessment Course (Army ROTC) and various brigade and battalion elements at Fort Bragg, NC.
He holds an MBA from Florida State University, JD from the University of Kentucky and a PhD from the University of South Florida.
