Standards News - Updates from Spring Engineering Summit

The following standards projects were opened during the Spring 2019 Engineering Summit, which took place in Dunedin, FL April 10-11, 2019.
  • 5442 - Reaffirmation of 8 National Adoptions of IEC standards regarding capacitors and resistors
  • 5443 - National Adoption of 5 IEC standards regarding capacitors and resistors
  • 5444 - Review of 2 Joint Standards (JEDEC/ECIA/IPC)
  • 5445 - Revision of EIA-575-B; Thick Film Resistor Specification
  • 5446 - Revision of EIA-576-B; Resistors, Rectangular, Surface Mount Precision
  • 5447 - Revision of EIA-703-A;  General Resistor Stress Test Qualification Specification
Participation in the ECIA standards programs is open to all individuals who are directly and materially affected by matters addressed by the work. The ESC is presently specifically seeking additional participation by the User category. ECIA Members Have Access to European DTAM Information

IDEA is a federation of component distribution trade associations from several major world countries.  It releases quarterly its European DTAM (Distributor Total Available Market) statistics which are not estimates but a summation of members' actual bookings and billings. IDEA supplies a package of statistical data covering Italy, France, UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Nordic. For questions regarding the reports, contact  Graham Waite.
